Amanda Bossard, fresh out of Anchorage High School the year 1992, began her studies in marine biology. Bossard started her professional career in the field of commercial seafood worker in the year 1999. Bossard began working on the F/V Sunset a 65' halibut-schooner which was converted into a tender for salmon in the name of Murat Aritan. She was employed as a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard has married Aritan. They've joined forces and are claiming their respective industries. The two are proponents of preserving sustainable and renewable seafood resources. Otolith is a wholesale direct seafood company, was established in 2007 by Bella Bossard (age 3), Andre Bossard (1 year old) as well as Bossard's mom. Bossard had returned to Philadelphia following the birth of two children. The name Otolith serves as a loving reference to Bossard's extensive knowledge about fish biology and her husband's many connections in the seafood business.
